I finally saw Populaire last Friday and it was so dreamy!
It's about a French country girl named Rose Pamphyle who gets hired as a secretary by Louis Ă‰chard on the condition that she wins a typewriting competition. With her extraordinary speed at typing Louis trains her to become the fastest type-writer in the world. It's so gorgeous you'll have to see it. The film came out in 2012 so it should be easy to find, but being in Australia it only just came here.

Anyway, lets just admire it's prettiness for a second.
It's just so lovely and perfect in every way.
It's french, late 50's,funny, romantic and predominantly pink.

The opening credits were particularly delightful in a Saul Bass inspired style. Every moment was just so beautiful!

Now I'm going to go and buy a pink typewriter, wear 50's dresses and speak french all day long. My ideal life.
